• Friday, September 21, 3pm  Critique 
  Juror John Salminen, nationally recognized and award-winning artist, will critique work, helping the audience to understand more about the medium of transparent watercolor, and to appreciate the artists in the show
• Friday, September 21, 6-8pm   Opening reception and Awards Presentation
• Saturday, September 22 through Tuesday, September 25, 2001  John Salminen Workshop  
  In conjunction with the Northern Plains Watercolor Society 6th Annual Exhibition, a four day workshop including both Realism and Abstract will be taught by Mr. Salminen. For more information, see the complete description.

Description of 2001 Workshop

In conjunction with the Northern Plains Watercolor Society 6th Annual Exhibition, John Salminen, our juror, will hold a four day workshop in conjunction. 

For the first two days of the workshop he will focus on realism, and the last two days will be on abstractions. The method that he teaches will insure success for the participants. 

Mr. Salminen is a signature member of Midwest Watercolor Society, Watercolor USA Honor Society, and American Watercolor Society. He has won numerous awards throughout the country.

The workshop will be held in Rapid City, South Dakota on September 22 through September 25, 2001. The cost is $195 for members and $225 for non-members. A deposit of $50 must be received by July 30 to guarantee your space, with the balance by August 25. The fee is non-refundable if cancelled after September 8.
